Christmas!!

Christmas was wonderful! Aubrey loved opening her presents, and was spoiled as usual. It was so fun to see how excited she was when she got something she liked. She wasn't too big on Santa yet. She sat on his lap a couple of times, but it took encouragement and she didn't like it much.

We had a fun Christmas Eve. We all got new PJ's. Aubrey's had a kitty on them and she loved them, even though it doesn't look like it in the picture.

The kids made cookies to leave out for Santa. They had fun putting sprinkels on. Parker had a little too much fun. He dumped the whole bottle on his four cookies. It was the cutest thing! Everyone just grabbed their cameras instead of cleaning up the mess.

Enjoying the Falling Leaves!!!

Aubrey and Parker were playing at the leaves at grandma Janna's house. Parker loved the leaves, but we had to coax Aubrey into them. Mostly they just loved running around outside.

Halloween

We had a fun Halloween! Aubrey looked adorable as little red riding hood. She LOVED trick-or-treating(well, we actually went trunk-or-treating). She went up to the cars and just held her basket there. I think she got double the candy at some cars, because if I wasn't paying attention she kept standing there holding up her basket. Dave was the big bad wolf, and I was Red's grandma.

Our Vacation To California!!!

We had a great time on our trip! Aubrey was sick about half the trip and she also got a huge bump on her fore head. She was playing on our bed at the hotel and hit the headboard and got a huge gooseegg. It went down by the next morning, but left a huge bruise. Besides all of this she still had a good time and was a happy girl considering she was sick. She loves Disneyland just like her mom!

Day 1-Newport Beach

Aubrey LOVED the beach. She would go up to the water, and then run away when the waves came in. The water was very cold. She would also collect the sea shells and chase the seagulls. Parker shared his sand toys with her and by the end of the day she was covered from head to toe with sand, but she loved every minute of it! After the beach we went swimming at the hotel the Bates were staying. Michelle and Bryce also have a timeshare there. It was a great way to start our trip!

Day 2-Disneyland

We didn't know how Aubrey was going to be with the characters at Disneyland, and she was very hesitant at first. She wanted Dave or me to hold her, and she wouldn't get too close. Mickey was the 2nd character we saw. She had a book for all the characters to sign, so I gave her the book and told her to give it to Mickey. She started walking up to him and got to a point that she thought was close enough and then threw the book at him. It was so funny! She loved the rides and finally at the end of the day we saw Princess Jazmine and she went up to her. It was so sweet. She loved the Dreams Come True Parade. She watched the whole thing without moving.

Day 3-California Adventure

We saw So many characters today. Aubrey was a little better at going up to them today. We went to Playhouse Disney Live. Aubrey and Parker Loved it! She also LOVED the Merry-Go -Round. She would have rode it all day long. She loved the parade today too. We watched the Pixar Parade.

Day 4-Universal Studios

Aubrey loved the Animal Actors show. We got to meet some of the dogs in the show. Other than that there wasn't much for Aubrey to do, but Dave and I loved riding the mummy ride! Aubrey got to meet Dora and she loved her! She has never seen the show so I was really suprised. I lost all of those pictures on my camers though, so I am sad I can't share them.

Day 5-Disneyland(one last time)

I think we finally had a breakthrough with the characters. She would go up on her own, sometimes timidly, but she would do it. She loved Goofy today! She had her turn, took part of Parkers turn, and wanted to go back again. She loved playing around in Toon Town also. Today we won in Disney's Year of a Million Dreams. We didn't get to stay in the Dream suite, or dream Fast Passes(like the Campbells). We got Mickey ear hats...and you can't buy those.(Sorry inside joke)

Day 6-San Diego and the Zoo

We left to San Diego today. We went to the San Diego Zoo, and Aubrey loved it! We went on a bus tour around the zoo which was a good idea because to zoo is huge! They had a children's zoo area that had a petting farm. Aubrey went right up to the goats and sheep to feed them with no fear. I loved seeing the panda. It was a fun day.

Day 7-Sea World

We love Sea World! We loved the animals and the shows. Aubrey touched the dolphins, stingrays, and starfish with no fear at all. Sea World offered trick-or-treating for the kids. They got a lot of candy. Aubrey loved the Sesame Street play area the best. She got to meet Elmo and Big Bird. We had a wonderful time on our trip and like always it went too fast!

24th of July

We went to the Pioneer Day parade in Odgen on the 24th. I didn't know how Aubrey would do sitting there the whole time, but she loved it! She watched it almost the whole time, and ate lots of treats of course! I was glad we made it to the parade so she could see it.
